Roll Call: Pure Communications, Telemundo Media and Haberman

Pure Communications, Inc. announced the expansion of its senior leadership team with appointments to three new roles on the firm’s executive team. Pure has named Matthew Clawson to senior vice president/managing director of the agency’s investor relations/financial communications practice, Jennifer Torres to senior vice president/group director and Lauren Cohen to senior vice president. Based in Southern California, Matt Clawson brings more than 25 years of expertise in the investor relations and corporate communications fields, as well as deep experience in medical technology and diagnostics. Based in Chicago, Jennifer Torres brings nearly 20 years of experience creating and driving strategic corporate and brand initiatives for pharmaceutical and life sciences companies across a wide range of therapeutic categories. Based in Boston, senior vice president Lauren Cohen brings more than a decade of communications expertise primarily for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. In her role at Pure, Cohen will lead corporate and product communications programs for select Pure clients. (Release)

Telemundo Media announced today the appointment of Michael Guariglia to vice president, Network Sales. A seasoned sales leader, Guariglia will be responsible for overseeing the advertising sales function for Telemundo Network for the Northeast territory. Guariglia will report to Mike Alvarez, Senior Vice President, Ad Sales Telemundo Network and will be based in New York City. As the senior leader in the Northeast territory, Guariglia will work with top clients to develop integrated packages and programs to suit their needs. He will serve as the senior point of contact for clients and agencies in his territory, and will be responsible for negotiating top-tier deals. Guariglia will play an integral role in designing strategy and will be responsible for overseeing the regional sales team, as well as evaluating the performance of advertising sales programs. Sunny Fenton has joined Minneapolis-based marketing agency Haberman as business development director. Fenton was previously director of business development at Colle+McVoy; she has also worked for Minneapolis agencies Little & Company, Hunt Adkins and Carmichael Lynch, as well as Best Buy Corporation. Roll Call: PMBC Group, Telemundo Media and Karwoski & Courage PR

Los Angeles-based public relations firm PMBC Group recently announced the promotion of Lisa Inouye and Mila Salahuddin to senior manager roles. Both executives have been with PMBC as account mangers since 2012, overseeing technology, consumer, design, professional services and digital and social media accounts. (Release)

Telemundo Media announced the promotion of Eli Velazquez to senior vice president, Sports; effective immediately. Velazquez previously served as vice president, Sports, Telemundo Media since 2008. Velazquez will continue to oversee all sports programming and operations for the network, in addition to being responsible for leading the strategic initiatives related to domestic growth, integration of the department’s content beyond broadcast and helping to develop new and innovative ways to evolve the Telemundo Sports brand across multiple platforms. Velazquez will also take on new responsibilities related to planning and collaborating on major events across divisions within Telemundo Media. (Release)

Karwoski & Courage Public Relations has promoted Vanessa de Bruijn and Kristin Merchant to account supervisors. Since starting with the agency in 2010, de Bruijn has rapidly climbed the ranks from assistant account manager to account manager. As account supervisor, she will continue her work on accounts in healthcare and architectural products. Merchant’s promotion comes after one year with Karwoski & Courage, during which time she has been overseeing account work for the world’s largest retailer, a filtration industry client, and Karwoski & Courage’s sister agency, Martin Williams Advertising. Ogilvy Public Relations announced that Rachel Caggiano, senior vice president of Social@Ogilvy has been promoted to executive vice president, North America head of content, effective immediately. Caggiano is a founding member of the award-winning Social@Ogilvy offering and seven-year veteran of the agency. In her new role, Caggiano will direct the expansion of Ogilvy PR’s work in content marketing, emphasizing the distinct role that content plays in public relations, building reputation, establishing thought leadership, and driving advocacy. She will leverage her talents as an innovator in digital communications and her experience as a global manager of the paid, owned, earned media approach to design custom content marketing solutions for new and existing clients across North America. Since joining Ogilvy PR in 2007, Caggiano was a founding member who helped spearhead the rapid growth of the agency’s social media offering, (then 360 Digital Influence) Social@Ogilvy. (Release)

Telemundo Media announced the promotion of Allan Infeld, an industry veteran in media marketing and business development, to vice president, Client Development. Infeld had previously served as director, Client Development, Telemundo Media since joining the company in March 2013. In his new role, Infeld will work closely with internal stakeholders and business units to oversee all new client development for Telemundo Media. He will be responsible for identifying new ad categories and initiating and maintaining conversations with key advertisers. Infeld joined Telemundo Media in March 2013 as director, Client Development, where he worked with a variety of clients within the pharmaceutical space. Previously, Infeld was vice president, Client Development & Ad Sales, New Business Group at Univision Communications Inc.  (Release)
