Tech Round Up: Google+ Photo Upgrade; Cision for Smartphones; and More

Google+ today announced a few product updates, including one that affects how photos appear in its lightbox function. We’ve got a video above, care of Wired. The article says the improvements are meant to keep up with Facebook’s new Timeline feature, which is now slowly rolling out, and Twitter’s redesign. Cision is now available on smartphones and tablets. Cision search capabilities are now accessible on iPhones, iPads, iTouch, and Android devices, and has been certified for use on Google Chrome.

Prince Walid bin Talal of Saudi Arabia invested $300 million in Twitter. According to The New York Times, the volume of Arabic tweets increased 2,146 percent over the 12 months ending October 31, making Arab-language messages the fastest growing on Twitter.

Vitrue has launched Anywhere Apps that allow users to take their Facebook apps anywhere on the web using Vitrue’s Social Relationship Management platform. There’s a demo here.

Data from comScore shows that 15 percent of the videos watched online in November were ads. Hulu aired 565 million minutes of ads that month.

AT&T has ended its effort to purchase T-Mobile.
