Knowing that this would be big news (maybe they waited until the day after the Facebook messaging launch?), the Royal Family has put its media machine in action.
The Prince of Wales’ website has a statement about when the wedding will take place (Spring or Summer 2011), and offers details about the proposal (in Kenya!) and where the couple will live once they’re married (in north Wales, probably in a castle!). But don’t ask Prince Charles any other questions because “Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.”
The British Monarchy Facebook page has also been updating its wall, including a Twitpic of the happy couple (above). They also appeared on television where, the AP reports, the Prince said he’d been planning to propose for some time, but “as every guy out there will know, it takes time a certain amount of motivation to get yourself going.”
