The USDA Wants Your Healthy Eating Suggestions
After posting a couple of stories about some questionable food news, we need a palate cleanser.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has launched a contest, the MyPlate Fruits and Veggies Video Challenge, inviting the eating public to submit videos with their suggestions for how to affordably add more fruits and vegetables to their diet. There are three categories — tips for kids, eating at home, and dining out — and first prize winners will each receive $1,500. The winning videos will be appear on the ChooseMyPlate.gov website and possibly on program partner sites. The deadline for submissions is November 15 at 5 p.m. ET.
We’ve got one of the submissions above. Ketchum is helping the USDA with this contest.
