A Banner Christmas Eve

It’s not often a cable news network uses a prefix in their lower third banners to identify people. Usually, it’s simply Obama, Bush, or Cheney. But we noticed on FNC this afternoon, that they’re referring to the Pres.-elect as “Mr.” Is this a trickle down of Roger Ailes‘ “treat him with respect” approach?![]()

And then there’s this lower third banner we noticed on MSNBC:

An FAA official with the last name Smiley, discussing holiday travel woes as thousands of passengers are doing anything but smiling.
