ABC Debuts First ‘This Week’ Promo with Christiane Amanpour

ABC News premiered the first promo for “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” last evening during the first quarter of the Celtics-Lakers NBA finals game.

The taglines in the promo definitely have an global flair, calling to mind the “international perspective” Amanpour told TVNewser she hopes to bring to the Sunday Show format. “See your world This Week,” says Amanpour. “This Week, the world’s newsmakers answer to you.”

ABC News tells us the promo will run again during Sunday night’s game as well as other timeslots.

Amanpour announced she was leaving CNN, her home for over 26 years, in March. She is expected to start on “This Week” in early August.
