Despite a looming Jay Leno, Nightline is increasing its real estate at ABC News’ New York headquarters. Tipsters tell TVNewser many formerly DC-based Nightline staffers have taken up the part of the 7th floor of 147 Columbus Ave. building the show didn’t already occupy.

Nightline will increase its footprint in office space currently occupied by news magazine staffers and includes some minor construction to the workspace. This means ABC is giving a commitment to a show that may not be around in a year, at least at 11:35pm on the broadcast network.
