At CBS, Another Walter Cronkite In The Newsroom

Politico’s Patrick Gavin reports about Walter Cronkite wandering the halls at CBS News in Washington. No, not that Walter Cronkite (right), but rather his grandson, Walter “Walt” Cronkite IV.

Gavin notes that the young CBS News broadcast associate is the first person to have the surname “Cronkite” in the company’s email system. Of course, having such a well-known name can often result in some unusual reactions:

Outside of the bureau, many think he’s pulling a prank when he introduces himself, as was the case Wednesday night at the St. Regis Hotel when a few people scratched their heads when they saw his name in the guestbook at a party to fete Bob Schieffer.
