Autograph-Seeking Journalist ID’ed: Son is Blamed

Politico has the details about an autograph-seeking journalist who interrupted President Barack Obama‘s signing ceremony last night and was escorted out by Secret Service.

An official identifies the journalist as Robert Feuereisen of Jewish World Review, “a New York-based Web site which features primarily conservative Jewish writers,” according to Politico.

The editor of the site confirms it was Feuereisen as well, saying his “12-year-old son had bought an inaugural magazine of some sort for $8, and ‘his kid just drove him crazy,’” writes Politico.

“He’s harmless, to put it mildly,” said the editor, Binyamin Jolkovsky.

> Update: Jolkovsky emails TVNewser: “The incident happened at the end of the ceremony. In other words, he didn’t interrupt it. Also: As I told the Politico, the president was on his way out and spotted Robert, who was at the front of the rope line, and shook his hand, as he did others there. The president initiated. Once the president shook Robert’s hand, he asked for the autograph.”
