Big 3 Emmy Noms: Nightly On Top

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams leads his evening competitors when it comes to the Emmy awards race. Of its 14 total News & Documentary nominations, 9 are for Nightly. The remaining nominations went to Dateline and the Today show.

World News with Charles Gibson has 4 of ABC’s 15 nominations (3 others nominations are shared with GMA and Nightline.)

Of CBS’s 19 nominations, 3 went to the CBS Evening News. Also, Katie Couric and her producers & editors were nominated for a 60 Minutes story titled “Dust at Ground Zero.”
