CableFAX 2009 Program Awards

cablefax.jpgTV industry publisher CableFAX announced its list of “cable’s top shows, people, and entertainment icons” at an awards banquet in New York this week. Though the majority of the awards are given for non-news programming, BBC America, HDNET, and CNBC were counted among the winners.

Best Show or Series/News: “BBC World News America,” BBC America
Best Host/News: Dan Rather, “Dan Rather Reports,” HDNET
Best Host/Talk Show: Suze Orman, “The Suze Orman Show,” CNBC

Also, Ted Turner and Dan Rather were inducted into the CableFAX Programming Hall of Fame.
