Cablers Plan 9/11 Anniversary Coverage

WTC091110.jpgAll three cable news channels will have special programming tomorrow, the ninth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Fox News has a special, “Fox News Reporting: 9/11: Timeline of Terror,” which will air at 3 and 9 PM. In addition, “Huckabee” at 8 PM will focus on the aftermath of the attacks. There will be live studio coverage throughout the day, much of which will focus on the ceremonies surrounding the anniversary.

MSNBC will continue its tradition of re-airing NBC’s “Today” coverage from 9/11/2001 from 8:57 AM until noon. It will also be live with studio programming from 7-8:57 AM, and from noon-2 PM with Alex Witt anchoring.

CNN will have live studio programming all-day, and will broadcast part of the memorial services in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. At 8 and 11 PM, it will televise a special, “CNN Investigates: Bin Laden’s New Jihadists,” which will be hosted by correspondent Drew Griffin.
