Chris Wragge: ‘I’m being benched for a little while, but there is a second half’
While the new CBS morning news was being unveiled uptown, Chris Wragge — who will not be a part of the show — was downtown emceeing the launch of AmberWatchTV. That’s where FishbowlNY’s Jerry Barmash caught up with Wragge, who was not surprised about not being a part of the new team.
“When I found out that the show was going to go in a totally opposite direction, it’s not like they replaced me with someone who is a similar version of me. [Charlie] provides a service to them that I can’t provide,” Wragge says.
“I’m being benched for a little while, but there is a second half,” laughs Wragge, the one-time sports anchor who also anchors WCBS’s 6pm news.
More of Wragge’s candid conversation over at FishbowlNY.
