Class is in at CBS News: ‘Reading, Writing and Reform’
The CBS Evening News launches a new education series tonight called “Reading, Writing and Reform.” The recurring series of education stories will be broadcast throughout the 2010-11 school year on the Katie Couric broadcast. Tonight’s story, reported by Jim Axelrod, compares the U.S. education system with those in other countries.
NBC News will present its own education initiative which will be broadcast across NBC News programs as well as on MSNBC, CNBC and Telemundo. “Education Nation” will air on the networks the week of Sept. 27.
