NBC "Has Reason To Think / Conjecture / Know That Amanpour Was Spied On..."
AMERICAblog puts a bold headline on the statement obtained by TVNewser: "NBC confirms it's investigating whether Bush spied on CNN's Christiane Amanpour." (If you missed the previous posts on this story, click here and here.)
Eschaton's tone is slightly more subdued: "Andrea Mitchell has reason to think/conjecture/know that Amanpour was spied on by the administration, and for some reason as yet unknown she didn't want that little detail being public yet." > "The rumors that Amanpour was wiretapped go back to before the Iraq war," a tipster says. "Remember when the UN believed the US was tapping its communications in advance of involvement in Iraq?" > Amanpour has not commented on the blogosphere buzz about her, but the reports have been noticed in the halls of CNN...
