Forty-four years ago, my mother Marlene Sanders co-anchored LBJ’s inauguration with Peter Jennings for ABC. The other day, she gave me some publicity photos that had been taken around that time with her four-year-old son — me. In a happy bit of symmetry, at least one of the photos appears to have been taken close to where I will be in Lafayette Park. Cheers to all.
