Credit Where Credit Is Due

katieaug30.jpgAre the New York Post and the New York Daily News embarrassed about getting scooped by a blogger? Both tabloids splashed Katie Couric‘s Photoshopped photo across their pages this morning, 24 hours after TVNewser first posted a story about it. The Daily News calls it “Katie’s nip & tuck” while the Post calls it “Weighing Anchor.”

But neither paper bothered to mention that the photos first surfaced on this blog. Are they embarrassed to credit a blog? Or do they want to fool their readers into believing they both coincidentally noticed the peculiar photo on the same day?

> Broadcasting & Cable was kind enough to credit TVNewser…

> Update: 11:23am: Thanks to FishBowlNY for pointing out the omission too…

> Update: Thanks to Eat the Press for standing up for TVNewser…
