David Letterman Keeps Keith Olbermann on Deck ‘If anything happens’ on CBS’ ‘Late Show’

Keith Olbermann was backstage last night (Update: This clip is from 2008) on “Late Show with David Letterman” with stage manager Biff Henderson just in case “anything happens” to Letterman — referring to Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak.

Letterman affirmed that if something does happen, “we got a guy backstage who will step right into my shoes.” This is CBS’ second late night mention of the former MSNBC host.
