“Saturday Night Live” has been lampooning news anchors since Lorne Michaels created the show back in 1975.

In its recurring skits about fellow NBC program “Today” Kristen Wiig plays Kathie Lee Gifford, and is paired with another actress, who plays Hoda Kotb. There is just one little thing: neither of the Kotb impersonators have been able to last more than one season on the comedy show.
