Big win for CBS’ “Early Show” over NBC’s “Today” show in a close one, TVNewser hears.

The two softball teams took the field Friday in Central Park.

Things got dicey when Saturday anchor/shortstop Chris Wragge went down in the first inning with a hamstring injury. But reports came in that the CBSers rallied behind their captain and sealed the victory when an NBCer was thrown out at home plate in the seventh.

Final score: 14-13
