Greta Van Susteren's Scoops Continue In Aruba (And It's Reflected In Her Ratings)

gretajune23.jpgFox News Channel anchor Greta Van Susteren owns the Aruba missing girl case. This afternoon Aruban authorities arrested Paul van der Sloot, "the father of the 17-year-old held in connection" with Natalee Holloway's disappearance. Greta interviewed the father yesterday (and he said his son had nothing to do with Holloway's disappearance).

On Tuesday, Greta and Holloway's mother Beth went over to the home of Joran's parents to see if they would talk. "They did. We were stunned. We were surprised," Greta told Bill O'Reilly last night. "We went in there without cameras, talked to them for 90 minutes. When we left, I said to them can we come back tomorrow at 3:00?"

On Wednesday, Beth Holloway said she had an appointment, and couldn't go back to the house. "So I thought well, I'm not going to be rude and maybe they'll see me," Greta said. "So we marched over there again, our whole group of people, camera, producer, marched over there." The family invited the TV crew in, and decided they wanted to go on camera. The interview aired On The Record last night.

Viewers are noticing Greta's scoops: On the Record averaged 2,574,000 viewers last night. Her 25-54 demo # of 770,000 beat Aaron Brown's total viewership of 612,000.

On The Record tonight, Greta has another exclusive interview: This time, it's with Nadira Ramirez, mother of Deepak Kalpoe and Satish Kalpoe, two of the other detained teens.

> Greta blogs: "I am hoping to leave tomorrow morning so that I can go home and sleep... but there is a chance I could be back in Aruba on Monday. It will depend on whether there is more we can find out by me being here."
