Fun With Double Entendres

CNN’s American Morning team had some fun this morning with a story from correspondent Zain Verjee, who was set up in the produce area of a grocery store.

As Kyra Phillips tossed to Verjee, her and her co-anchor John Roberts couldn’t help but laugh as Verjee appeared, holding a pair of, well, “melons.”

“I’m a little distracted by your live shot, I’m not quite sure why,” said Phillips as Verjee looked around, somewhat confused.

Following the report, Phillips gave a melon-related spin to the “most news in the morning,” slogan of CNN’s morning show.
