Honoring Lou’s Lifetime Achievement

CNN’s Lou Dobbs picked up a Lifetime Achievement Emmy for Business News in New York yesterday.

Dobbs “received a standing ovation during Thursday’s ceremony at Bloomberg Corporate Headquarters in Midtown Manhattan,” Paul Gough reports. “Go out and raise hell and have fun. The country needs you,” Dobbs told the audience.

“The lifetime achievement award recognizes Dobbs for the creation of Lou Dobbs Moneyline and Lou Dobbs Tonight, two of the most prestigious news programs on television; the launch of CNNfn; and his coverage of some of the most important financial topics over the past quarter century, including jobs, immigration and the global economy,” CNN says.
