Imus Talks Up Kaplan’s “Termination”

During today’s Imus in the Morning show, simulcast on MSNBC, Don Imus asserted that MSNBC ex-president Rick Kaplan was fired. “We’re covering this huge story this morning, the termination of [Iraqi al Qaeda leader] Al Zarqawi and of Rick Kaplan,” Imus said, according to Multichannel News. “Fortunately, Mr. Kaplan was not blown up or shoved out the 52nd-floor window over there at 30 Rock.”

ICN has more of the transcript: “I have some bad news, Charles. Rick Kaplan was fired yesterday. The newspapers say it was some mutual agreement but Rick told me he was fired yesterday from MSNBC.”
