And last night, Rachel Maddow was portrayed for the first time on Saturday Night Live. New featured player Abby Elliott portrayed the MSNBC host. The sketch served as the cold open, and featured portrayals of Senate-hopeful Roland Burris and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

“You thought I got away didn’t you? Well, sorry to spoil your party there, Billy Jean King,” said “Blagojevich” to begin the interview.

The first sketch after the monologue featured portrayals of Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb as they uncomfortably began the fourth-hour of the Today show. SNL didn’t release the sketch as an embeddable video, but a short clip is after the jump.
