Midterms: Woodruff & Co. On Bloomberg

TVNewser broke the news last week and now it’s official: Judy Woodruff “will analyze midterm returns next Tuesday for Bloomberg TV.”

“I know about as much about business as someone who has covered politics for a long time. All I know how to do is ask the questions, and sometimes they’re not even smart questions. I’ve got a lot of studying to do,” Woodruff tells the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Roger Simon and John Mercurio will join Woodruff with commentary. “Also on the roster: Bloomberg anchors Peter Cook (Money & Politics) and Rhonda Schaffler (The Bloomberg Report) and reporters Lindsey Arent and Lizzie O’Leary…”

> Update: “Woodruff’s hiring is especially interesting given Bloomberg’s policies prohibiting nepotism,” an e-mailer says. “No other employee, except for Al Hunt, has been allowed to have a spouse also join Bloomberg. Will Al Hunt and Judy Woodrfull try to change that nepotism policy?…”
