MSNBC has successfully tried the re-air concept once before. On 9/11/06, the network re-aired NBC's minute-by-minute coverage of the events of 9/11/01.

MSNBC's press release is after the jump...

MSNBC marks the tenth anniversary of the death of Princess Diana with dayside coverage and documentary premieres and specials. On Friday, August 31st, ten years after many Americans awoke to the startling news that the "People's Princess" had died, MSNBC will air live coverage of the memorial service for Princess Diana near Buckingham Palace from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. ET. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET, MSNBC will re-air the 1997 funeral of Princess Diana. MSNBC's Alex Witt will also report live from London.

In addition, MSNBC will present three specials focusing on Princess Diana next weekend, including "Five Diana Conspiracy Theories," "Time & Again: Royal Wedding," and "The Princes: William and Harry."

"Five Diana Conspiracy Theories":

A decade after the tragic car crash in a Paris tunnel that took the lives of Princess Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed, there are still questions surrounding their deaths. Was it a simple car accident or were more sinister forces at work? MSNBC's "Five Diana Conspiracy Theories," premiering Saturday, September 1st at 12 p.m. ET, separates fact from fiction. "Five Diana Conspiracy Theories" will re-air on Sunday, September 2nd at 3 p.m., 8 p.m., and 11 p.m. ET.

"Time and Again: Royal Wedding":

Travel back to July, 1981, when hundreds of millions of people across the globe tuned in to the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Relive the pageantry as it was covered by NBC News. "Time and Again: Royal Wedding" airs Saturday, September 1st at 1 p.m. ET and Sunday, September 2nd at 4 p.m. ET.

"The Princes: William and Harry":

In their first American television interview, Prince William and Prince Harry of Wales talk with NBC News' Matt Lauer. They remember their mother, Princess Diana, and talk about the paths their lives have taken since her death ten years ago. "The Princes: William and Harry" airs Saturday, September 1st at 2 p.m. ET and Sunday, September 2nd at 5 p.m. ET.
