Tim Russert's "other show", the interview program Tim Russert, which had been airing on weekends on CNBC, has a new home: MSNBC. The switch is effective this Saturday. The show will air every Saturday at noon ET, repeating three additional times each weekend.

"As we head into the 2008 election season, the addition of 'Tim Russert' to our weekend lineup solidifies MSNBC as the place for politics," MSNBC's Executive In Charge, Phil Griffin said in a press release.

Adds Russert, "While I am extremely fortunate to be the custodian of a national treasure like 'Meet the Press,' I really enjoy the opportunity to host another program where I can have a more informal conversation with the world's most intriguing politicians, athletes, actors, authors and thinkers. After a great decade on CNBC, I look forward to an equally long and rewarding run on MSNBC."

MOVE BOOSTS POLITICAL PROGRAMMING ON MSNBC

SECAUCUS, NJ - Oct. 2, 2007 - MSNBC continues to establish itself as the place for politics, adding the popular weekend talk program "Tim Russert" beginning Saturday, Oct. 6. "Tim Russert" will premiere at Noon ET Saturdays, repeating 6 p.m. ET and 2 a.m. ET and Sundays at Noon ET. The program previously aired weekends on CNBC.
