MSNBC’s New Name?

It’s the Wall Street Journal’s turn to write an “MSNBC’s Owners Look to End Deal” story. And finally, someone puts it in print: NBC is thinking about changing MSNBC’s name. (Try “NBC News Channel” on for size.) Here’s the key paragraph: “As for NBC, it would prefer to run MSNBC — likely under a new name — on its own, without having to deal with a partner whose interest in the channel clearly has faded, people close to the network said.”
