NBC’s ‘Today’ Has Clean Sweep At Daytime Emmy Awards

The 38th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were handed out over the weekend by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and NBC’s “Today” was the big winner among the morning programs.

“Today” took home three Emmys, including “Outstanding Morning Program.” The show’s director, Joe Michaels, took home an Emmy for “Outstanding Directing in a Talk Show/Morning” while production mixers David Levens and Matt Rifino won for “Outstanding Achievement in Live & Direct to Tape Sound Mixing.”

No other network or cable news programs took home any Daytime Emmys.
