Networks, Cablers Cover Possible Terror Attempt

All three major broadcast networks broke into regular coverage to deliver special reports on the UPS bomb scare shortly after 11:30 AM ET, joining extensive coverage by the cable news channels. ABC was first at approximately 11:37 AM, followed by NBC and CBS after 11:40 AM.

The three evening news anchors handled the special reports, with Brian Williams reporting for NBC, Diane Sawyer for ABC and Katie Couric for CBS:

Even the Fox broadcast channel, which does not have a news division, broke into regular coverage with a special report at 11:59 AM. Fox News Channel’s Bill Hemmer anchored:
