Olbermann Departure Changes NATPE Plans

Friday night’s bombshell has altered the plans of some of Keith Olbermann‘s former MSNBC colleagues. Lawrence O’Donnell was supposed to be at the Fountainbleu hotel in Miami Beach for the annual NATPE convention, but that appearance was canceled yesterday. O’Donnell will remain in New York to anchor his show, which was moved to the lead-off spot of MSNBC primetime. (Although we wonder if “The Last Word,” is still an applicable title considering the program will air at 5pm in his hometown of Los Angeles). When we talked to him Thursday at the NBC News upfront, O’Donnell was game for a quick interview here in Miami — that’ll have to wait.

MSNBC fill-in host and “Young Turk” Cenk Uygur is still set to be here to take part in the “New Media Gamechanger” panel. Uyger, who’d been filling in for Dylan Ratigan at 4pm, will now host at 6pm as Ed Schultz moves to 10pm. (all times Eastern).

Perhaps one of the most revealing of interviews kicks off the TV programming & sales confab tomorrow: Jeff Zucker, in his final week as NBCU CEO.

We’ll be here covering the event, Tweeting and blogging as news happens.
