The Bill O’Reilly “100 months at #1″ media tour continues, with an interview with WowOWow.com’s Liz Smith.

Smith has known O’Reilly for “almost 40 years,” and admits she “had no idea you’d turn out to be such a big deal.” Says O’Reilly: “I always knew I would succeed but nobody could have possibly predicted success at this level…I’d give it about a million to one given my personality and the fact that I never kissed anybody’s butt.”

Smith asks O’Reilly about jobs outside his current role — he says he would “never” take an executive role but would “consider” public office.

O’Reilly is asked by Smith about his “liberal bents.”

“I consider myself an independent thinker,” he says. “But I want a clean planet; I want poor people to get a chance. I believe in trying to make a level playing field for underprivileged children. All of these are great liberal causes.”
