Rick Sanchez Fired: The Write-Ups & the Colleague Supporting Sanchez

So far, no comment from Rick Sanchez or from Jon Stewart on yesterday’s dismissal of the CNN anchor for controversial comments Sanchez made in a radio interview Thursday. As the story was unfolding Friday, Sanchez was scheduled to be at a book-signing at the CNN Center in Atlanta. It’s not clear if that book signing happened.

ABC’s Good Morning America produced a story this morning; MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow made a passing reference to Sanchez on her show last night and Sanchez’s dismissal came up a few times on FNC’s “Red Eye” overnight.

And at least one of his former colleagues is throwing her support behind Sanchez.
