Rod Blagojevich Has “Potty Mouth,” Thought About Appointing Oprah (And Other Things Discussed This Morning)
Three down, (at least) four to go. Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich made his Today show, Good Morning America and “The View” appearances so far today, and in each he stuck to his story about not getting a fair trial. But there were some highlights as well. During his interview this weekend with Amy Robach, which aired this morning on NBC, he compared his situation to Nelson Mandela, Mohandas Ghandi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. Robach wrote about the experience yesterday.
During his interview with Diane Sawyer, Blagojevich revealed he considered appointing Oprah Winfrey to President Obama’s vacant Senate seat (click here for the video). Then it was onto “The View” where both prior interviews were referenced. Barbara Walters interviewed Blago first, via satellite. “Your wife’s family doesn’t seem to be crazy about you,” said Walters, while revealing Patti Blagojevich canceled her appearance on the program yesterday. When he made it to the couch, Joy Behar asked about the couples’ “potty mouths” and tried to convince him to do his Richard Nixon impression and say “I am not a crook.”
Up next, FNC’s Geraldo Rivera at 2pmET (we’ll twitter the interview) followed by Larry King Live, Nightline’s Cynthia McFadden (taking place now) and The Early Show’s Maggie Rodriguez tomorrow morning.![]()
