Schieffer To Speak at Maryville Commencement
It’s that time of year — commencement speakers are being chosen to share some words of wisdom with the class of ’09 — although they’d probably prefer a job, any job.
Anyway, CBS’s Bob Schieffer will be the commencement speaker at Maryville University in St. Louis May 2.
“Graduation is my favorite holiday and I love sharing it with graduates,” said Schieffer, who, in addition to his CBS News duties, is also a regular on St. Louis radio station KMOX. KMOX is owned by CBS Radio.
Schieffer will be honored with a doctorate of humane letters during the ceremony.
