Snow Keeps Couric in Northeast

evencouric_2-4.jpg“CBS Evening News” anchor Katie Couric was scheduled to head down to South Florida for Friday night’s newscast, but TVNewser has learned that some bad weather is forcing a change in plans.

A snow storm that is anticipated to hit the D.C. area over the weekend might cause major delays and prevent Couric from flying into Washington from Miami for her sit-down Sunday with President Obama. Instead, she’ll anchor “Evening News” from New York tomorrow and head to D.C. on the ground.

CBS News is broadcasting a number of programs from South Florida this week as the network has the Super Bowl this year.
