Judging by last night’s on-air tribute for Anderson Cooper‘s 47th birthday, one can only wonder what CNN will do in a few years for the big 5-0.
Just a few seconds into Cooper delivering a typical “Ridiculist” segment, Wolf Blitzer popped up on screen, beginning a video montage of CNN personalities wishing Cooper a happy birthday.
Senior Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin pointed out the lack of buzz around his birthday two weeks ago. “Did I get an on-air tribute from Wolf Blitzer? I don’t think so…what is the big deal, is this kindergarten? Everyone has a birthday.”
Randi Kaye, whose reporting for “AC360″ left her slightly high earlier this year, had an interesting gift idea. “I heard about these really cool limo tours in Denver, in Colorado. Really cool, if you know what I mean,” Kaye said, referencing a limousine ride she took with “ganjapreneurs” smoking marijuana.
And John Berman donned his “AC360″ snuggie. “When you fill in for Anderson, they actually give you one of these AC360 snuggies. My understanding is he’s worn every one of them, so before you get it, Anderson has to wear it…I can smell him in it.”
