Sunday Show Ratings: ABC On Top During Unusual Week
The July 4 holiday weekend and the Wimbledon tennis tournament made for an unusual Sunday for the network public affairs programs.
NBC’s coverage of Wimbledon meant that “Meet the Press” was preempted for the week, while the other three programs were coded as “specials” due to the Independence Day holiday.
ABC’s “This Week” finished on top in both total and demo viewers, with Jake Tapper anchoring. Ratings were down slightly when compared to last week.
CBS’ “Face The Nation” and Fox Broadcast Channel’s “Fox News Sunday” both finished slightly up from the previous week.
| Network | Program | Total Viewers | A25-54 |
|---|---|---|---|
| ABC | “This Week” | 2.29M | 710K |
| CBS | “Face the Nation” | 2.23M | 670K |
| FOX | “Fox News Sunday” | 1.17M | 470K |
| NBC | “Meet The press” | Preempted | |
