Susan McGinnis, host of CBS Morning News, is leaving the network.
The CBS Morning News airs before the local CBS morning news in most markets. McGinnis gave news updates to a limited number of CBS affiliates throughout the morning as well.
After her final update at the top of The Early Show, co-host Russ Mitchell said, “Susan McGinnis in her last day here at CBS. She’s moving on. We wish you the best.” McGinnis responded, “Thanks, it’s been a pleasure.”
McGinnis joined CBS in 2000, and had contributed to CBS Marketwatch, in addition to her hosting duties. She was also a business contributor to The Early Show.
A CBS spokesperson confirmed it was McGinnis’ last day.
