The Score Satellite Radio Is Going Off The Air

Sad news from north of the border as The Score Satellite Radio is going off the air on Sept. 1.

According to Toronto Sports Media, Sirius decided to pull the plug on the station due to the recent merger with XM Radio Canada.

The Score was the home of the wildly popular The Morning Jones – we will have Bomani Jones‘ reaction about this breaking news Tuesday evening.

ESPN Offering Extended Coverage Of 2011 WSOP Main Event

ESPN is going “all-in” for the 2011 World Series of Poker.

From July 14-19, the network will offer daily coverage of the WSOP main event, including ‘live’ unedited hole cards on a 30-minute delay and more than 34 additional hours of coverage in high definition on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN3.com from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Every hand will be shown unedited and hole cards will be available post-flop. Coverage will shift between two feature tables approximately every 30 minutes. All “all-in” and “call” situations will be shown at both tables. Read more

Breaking: NBC Gets First Brett Favre Interview

Brett FavreYesterday quarterback Brett Favre announced he would be returning to the Minnesota Vikings for another season. Now Broadcasting & Cable‘s Ben Grossman reports that NBC’s Al Michaels has secured the first sit-down interview with Favre which will air during halftime of NBC’s broadcast of the Minnesota Vikings-San Francisco 49ers preseason game Sunday.

The game will also (probably) mark Favre’s return to the football field. Assuming he is in football shape by then.
