You didn’t think their 15 minutes was up did you? No, all 33 of the Chilean miners, along with five of their rescuers, will be attending the “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute” event.
“The heroic efforts of the rescue of these miners was one of the most unifying and inspirational events of the year,” said Jim Walton, president of CNN Worldwide in a statement. “CNN Heroes is a fitting way for CNN to honor these men and their rescuers. We hope viewers around the world will be heartened by the story of their rescue as well as the stories of this year’s top 10 CNN Heroes.”
Anderson Cooper will host the special, which is being taped this weekend in Los Angeles. It will air on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25.
Update: Oh look! CNN has a video of the miners at the airport. After the jump.
