• The Supreme Court ruled today that the FCC “failed to give Fox or ABC fair notice prior to the broadcasts in question that fleeting expletives and momentary nudity could be found actionably indecent.” ABC is pleased: “We’re pleased with the decision of the Supreme Court regarding the episode of NYPD Blue.”

• Clickspring Design has won an award for the design of NBC’s Studio 3B, home to “Nightly News” and “Rock Center.” Nightly began broadcasting from the new studio on October 24, 2011, a week ahead of Rock Center’s debut on October 31.
