‘This Week At War’ Replacing ‘On The Story’

CNN is cancelling On The Story and putting This Week At War in its weekend timeslot. CNN started piloting the program in June. Jon Klein announced the full series roll-out TCA press tour.

John Roberts will continue to anchor the program. It will air Saturdays at 7 and Sundays at 1. “We want to give [viewers] one place where they can come and finally understand how it all fits together — what happened and what it means to them,” he says. Here’s the press release.

On The Story expanded to an hour-long format last June. At the time, Klein hyped the show as a “valuable opportunity to display transparency in our reporting.” It was taped with a studio audience at George Washington University. It’s unclear whether CNN will continue to produce any programming at GWU…
