Tiki Barber Speaks Out: ‘Marriages Dissolve. It Happens.’

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, former Today correspondent Tiki Barber and girlfriend Traci Lynn Johnson, a former NBC intern, speak out about their relationship.

The two — who now live together — have been the subjects of media interest for months. Barber is not yet divorced from estranged wife Ginny, who was eight months pregnant with twins when news broke of the relationship with Johnson.

Barber and Johnson “were friends when I was still married [sic],” says Barber. “I was separated, out of my house, and that’s when we kind of went to a different level.”

“Tiki and I became romantically involved when he was separated,” Johnson added, “and plenty of people who are separated have girlfriends and boyfriends.”

“Marriages dissolve,” Barber continued. “It happens. It’s unfortunate, but it happens.”
