Timing Is Everything For World News’ “Who Is?”

Talk about Murphy’s Law: ABC’s World News With Charles Gibson had planned on running tonight a profile of Sen. Sam Brownback, part of the program’s “Who Is?” series on Presidential contenders. It was even teased at ABCNews.com this morning, with the headline “Get to Know Sen. Sam Brownback”.

But then came an AP report that Brownback is planning on dropping out of the race tomorrow. So what’s a news organization to do? TVNewser has learned ABC is scrapping the story and will move on to the next one: Gov. Mike Huckabee is the focus of “Who Is?” tonight.
