Today Anchors Leave…

That headline was not our own. That’s what the “Today” show’s publicist titled her press release on this May sweeps series. Cute. Playing into all that chatter.

Anchors Abroad on TODAY – Series Begins Monday, May 2

NEW YORK – April 21, 2011 – The “Today” anchors are leaving in May! After their trip across the pond to cover the Royal Wedding, the “Today” anchors will be globetrotters once again. In a special series beginning Monday, May 2, the members of the “Today” team travel abroad to make surprise cameos on some of

the biggest international television shows.

On Monday, May 2, Al Roker busts a move as the orange Wiggle from Australia’s hit TV show “The Wiggles.” Roker stars in an original music video titled “The Weatherman” and performs in concert in Australia for 60,000 people. On Tuesday, May 3, Natalie Morales channels her inner soap star and takes a leading role in an episode of Telemundo’s hit telenovela, Los Herederos Del Monte, filmed in Bogota, Colombia.
