What is Keith Olbermann’s Next Gig? We Will Find Out Tomorrow

Former MSNBC “Countdown” host Keith Olbermann has been the subject of much speculation across the interwebs, much of it asking where he will be heading next.

Look for the speculation to end tomorrow, as Olbermann is planning to announce his next career move in a conference call slated for 11 AM ET.

According to the email invite: “he and his new partners will make an exciting announcement regarding the next chapter in his remarkable career.”

It certainly doesn’t sound like a traditional TV gig, but who knows.

Update: Variety’s Cynthia Littleton, who is connected on the west coast entertainment scene, contacted Olbermann’s reps at ICM. What did they say?

@Variety_Cynthia: “Only guidance is that we shouldn’t assume that it won’t involve TV.”

One thing worth noting (maybe): it is social media week in NYC, so there are lots of internet-types hanging around. Also, this morning AOL announced it has acquired The Huffington Post for $315 million, so clearly there is lots of money to be made in new media.

Of course, it could also be a TV deal, as Olbermann’s agents seem to be hinting at.

What do you think it will be? Give your (on topic) thoughts in the comments.
