Will ‘Parker Spitzer’ Become Simply ‘Spitzer’?
The New York Post‘s Page Six reports today that CNN “Parker Spitzer” co-host Eliot Spitzer has been telling friends that the first half of the show’s name may not be there for much longer:
Eliot Spitzer is telling friends his CNN co-host Kathleen Parker “will be gone within a week.” Relations between the ex-gov, who once called himself a “[bleep]ing steamroller,” and his conservative co-host are at an all-time low. A source said, “Spitzer thinks she’s holding him back. The ratings surged when she was out sick, and he anchored alone during the turmoil in Egypt.
TVNewser has confirmed with a source that Spitzer has been telling friends that Parker will not last much longer on the show.
Of course, the decision is not his to make. It is up to CNN executives, led by executive VP Ken Jautz. Will it happen? Stay tuned.
