After almost 40 years at WCAU, the NBC O&O in Philadelphia, Terry Ruggles has announced his retirement.

Ruggles joined WCAU in 1974 as a general assignment reporter and has held a variety of positions at the station, including anchor and weathercaster. He will reduce his workload this Fall in preparation for his December retirement.

In a statement announcing the news, WCAU news director Anzio Williams said, “I can honestly say you will have to look very hard to find a better person that is a superior journalist.”
